Cat Island

Cat Island may be peaceful, but there's plenty to do. Relax on secluded beaches, including an 8-mile stretch of pink sand. For adventure, try fishing, diving, snorkeling, kayaking through mangroves, or exploring prehistoric caves and freshwater lakes. Hike to the top of Mt. Alvernia, the highest point in The Bahamas, where the Hermitage monastery sits. You can also take historical tours, go bird watching, or visit the ruins of slave plantations.
